Camera & On-Device Processing
Eviora SmartCode includes a Live ICD-10 Scanner that uses your iPhone's camera to read codes from documents, charts, or screens. We are explicit about what happens with that camera data:
Camera images, video frames, and any text the on-device recognition engine sees never leave your iPhone. We do not transmit them to our servers, our partners, or any third party.
All text recognition runs locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No images or raw recognized text are uploaded.
Only the final, validated ICD-10 code (e.g., "E11.9") is sent to our backend for HCC mapping lookup — exactly as if you typed it into the Search or Batch tool. ICD-10 codes are public reference data, not patient information.
Captured codes live only on the Scanner screen during your session. They are not saved to disk or to our servers, and tapping the trash icon clears them immediately.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in iOS Settings → Eviora SmartCode.
